Hey all! Thanks for checking me out! I'm one of the real guys. I have been a certified massage therapist for the past 12 years (working in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles), and have a high level of training from nationally accredited programs at some of the top massage schools in the country. I have a sports medicine background and specialize in deep tissue work, especially for dancers and athletes. But I'm also incredibly intuitive - so the massage becomes what YOU need it to be. My work is a combination of Swedish, Shiatsu and Touch Therapy. If preferred, I can do a very light or medium touch massage as well. (I myself, am a bit of a wimp when it comes to a pain threshold, so I can sympathize well with clients who don't want to be pummeled during an appointment!) (But if a great pummeling is needed, I'm definitely the guy who can get in there and really work out the knots!)
I'm also trained in healing energy work, and can happily incorporate that into your appointments as well. I’m also very highly trained in the extraordinary art of Tantric Massage, for the clients who want to experience something beyond the extraordinary.
I believe in giving an extraordinary and skilled massage, but I also believe that a great massage has a degree of affection to it (or when it's a straight guy on the table, a sort of camaraderie, to add to the comfort of it). I'm a masculine/strong 33 year old guy, who has a huge heart and a great care for his clients. I share that heart during my appts and am able to bring a lot of love and care to my clients (when appropriate) in addition to the skill, technique and intuition I bring to the work. I pride myself on being able to make each client feel very special and caring about each appt as if it's the most important appt I've ever done. You deserve nothing less. I'm so grateful for the hundreds (maybe thousands) of e-mails I've had over the years telling me that I'm the best. But that isn't just by chance. I set out to be the best. Why do it at all if you can't be absolutely extraordinary? That's my motto.
When you're on my table, I want you to feel TRULY cared about. Many people have told me that they actually felt like I personally cared about them during my appts, beyond caring about them strictly professionally. In some ways that's true, because part of my work is opening up that side of me and that part of my heart. Why shouldn't you feel cared about by the person working on you? I have been a CMT for 12 years and have a sports medicine background. I tend to be popular with a high end client base, and my client list includes world famous rock bands, TV and film stars and numerous studio executives. I'm also the resident massage therapist on multiple network tv shows, and have been a favorite of a number of Broadway touring companies and Broadway dancers. That's as much of a reference as I can give, though, as I promise each client full anonymity and complete privacy. (So no, I won't tell you who, even if you beg and plead and smile pretty. But that's good, cause you wouldn't want me mentioning your name either, right?)
My appointment is what I call my "untimed" appt, which generally runs about 90 minutes, but often may run longer than that. If you have time constraints and need to limit our time together, let me know ahead of time, as I prefer not to watch a clock. But the truth is, I feel that a truly great massage needs to take as LONG as it needs and not be rushed. My appt is longer than most you'll find out there and incredibly leisurely and relaxed, which is as it should be. I've had several massages myself from guys I've found online (much like you are finding me) and at world class spas, and I've been unhappy on more than one occasion by a massage that was more about being timed than simply letting the massage progress as it needs. Hearing "you're all set" when you know the person did not give you the time and care they should have (whether it's because they don't have the skills for it, or simply don't care about anything but getting the money and getting you out the door), is a frustrating way to end a massage and not something that will happen during your appt with me.
In terms of how long it takes, it's all about what I find when I start working on you. Just lay down and relax and let me take you on a journey through your body. With my untimed appts, you don't think about time and I won't think about time and the journey will take as long as it needs to (within reason, of course). I only take a limited number of clients each day so that every one of you will have my absolute best energy. Some LA based independent massage therapists feel that there is SO much business here that you never have to see a client twice to make a living at this. But I prefer to build a longer term relationship with clients whenever possible. But even if you only come to me once, you'll be treated as if you are my most important client.
I am also trained and experienced in various other modalities and am very open to discussing those with you as well.
